Responsibilities
A Surgical Tech att ends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operati vely to provide for opti mum peri-operati veexperience. Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentati on, pati ent safety and sterile technique.
Our state-of-the-art hospital in Jacksonville includes 25 operati ng rooms that include an IMRI OR suite and a dedicatedendovascular OR suite. We use the best modern equipment and advanced technologies to create an environment thatmerges the art of healing with the science of medicine.
Qualifications
EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited and/or hospital approved Surgical Technicianprogram. Certification preferred. EXPERIENCE : Fulfilled through the educational process anddocumented on a skill check list which is kept current on each individual.

COMPETENCY: Otorhinolaryngology General/Gynecology Neurology OrthopedicsCardiovascular JOB KNOWLEDGE: Principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgicalprocedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and machines; understands patientand staff safety recommendations. ADDL CONSIDERATIONS: Capable of rapid accuratereactions; concern for quality patient care; communicates and works effictively with variouslevels of personnel; stands and walks major portion of work schedule; moderate to heavy liftingrequired; exposure to cuts, burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals and x-ray
License or Certification
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Additional specialty certification/training asrequired by the work area.
